OPT (Your THERAPY source)
It all started a yr ago when I injured my knee at work. After dealing with insurance companies, and alot of red tape I eventually had surgery 4 months later. It was time to start physical therapy. Finally, I had a choice that didnt need approval. And I made the right one.
Ive been to gyms and athletic clubs before. And I always felt that I didnt belong there. I never stayed after the membership ended. There was always a intimidation factor, or I felt noone cared that I was even there. When I met the staff at OPT and The Body Shoppe everyone was friendly and knew what they were doing. They wouldnt just abandon you on a machine. They take the time and show you everthing They ask questions to find out what your skill level is. They answer all your questions without making you feel foolish. They make you feel part of a family here. Liz being the energetic crazy Aunt that everyone loves. It makes me feel good when I walk in there no matter what mood Im in. I always get a hello from a member of the staff.
I've met alot of members here, an everyone has been great. So many different skill levels, age groups, backgrounds and every other category. Everyone fits in an helps each other out. And it just makes the place that much more enjoyable. This has been the only place where I have ever continued a membership. Im just about done with physical therapy now. But I plan to keep coming to The Body Shoppe long after Im done.

I have been a member of a number of different gyms in a number of different locations (CT, MA, WA, CA & the UK) & I have never been made to feel as welcomed & as comfortable as I have at The Body Shoppe. Every single day, when I walk in the door at TBS,
I am warmly greeted with "Good morning Amy". Not once, in all of my previous gym experiences, had anyone ever taken the time to learn my name. This personal touch practically blew me over & from that very first "Good morning Amy" I was a HUGE fan.
Thank you TBS! My main interest is Spinning & I can not say enough about the available scheduling of classes, the variety of instructors & the fantastic new equipment that TBS has to offer. I also enjoy the friendly family feel of the gym & all of the
outdoor activities that are offered. TBS is filled with a wonderful group of people (staff & members) who are truly dedicated to good fun & good fitness. I highly recommend The Body Shoppe on all levels, it's a great way to start each day! Thanks
again TBS!

I recently rejoined the Body Shoppe after a lengthy medical absence and was glad to see it's still the same place I remembered--the best-run fitness center in the Valley, with good machines and facilities and excellent energetic staff.  I didn't realize how much I missed it unitl I got back.  Thanks for still being here!

I have been a member of several gyms, but The Body Shoppe is by far my favorite.  The professional and helpful staff continually offers encouragement, helpful tips, and has even offered water to members during their cardio workous!  Each Nautilus machine is equipped with a computer monitor that keeps track of the current number of pounds we are lifting, and also provides a visual for number of reps, which is especially motivating.
The Body Shoppe is more than a gym;  it's a community of people working together to become health and fit. I'd recommend The Body Shoppe to anyone.

Thanks to the folks at The Body Shop, and particularly to Debi Garlick who runs the seniors exercise classes, I have been able once again, at age 75, to enjoy both water and snow skiing. I look forward to many more years (I’m the youngest guy in the class) of working toward good health and fitness and having a lot of fun with my class, Debi, and the rest of The Body Shop staff.         Bill Ames

I’ve been a member of The Body Shoppe for quite a few years, and I love the place. Let me tell you why....

Usually when I go there I don’t have a lot of extra time. But at TBS, I can park within 10-15 yards of the front door. From the front door to the men’s locker room to change is about 20 feet. Then it’s either 20 feet over to the Nautilus machines, or the 20 feet back out the front door for a run, either on the back roads around town or up the trails by the Poet Seat tower. When I’m done, a quick shower, back to work, almost no time wasted. I know, this convenience is all really trivial, but I like it!

But what I really like about The Body Shoppe, and this is not trivial, is the friendly staff, Steve and Becky and all the others. They help you out, they answer questions, they give you encouragement, they smile, all no matter how old or slow or uncoordinated or grouchy you are. And that’s true of every single one of them.

I walk into the place and the vibes are so good that I automatically feel better, no matter how bad a day I’m having. I walk out of the place, after some good exercise too, and my world is just a whole lot better.

You guys are, hands down, the best gym I have ever been to. And this is coming from a guy who has spent time working out in gyms in Spain, Japan, Thailand and New York. Love the way you are always offering interesting alternatives to traditional workouts!

WHAT THE BODY SHOPPE MEANS TO ME
A year ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.2 weeks after the first of many surgeries,I was on my way to Killington with the GANG,accomplishing  the first of,hopefully, many personal bests.

As I went thru 4 months of chemo,I continued to work and bike with the WEDNESDAY GIRLS. And as I got slower and slower,Nikki and Karen so patiently waited for me at every
hilltop. I was so grateful that I could be out there and not feel humiliated, just supported. Then back to aerobics and spinning until my next series of surgeries, after which I was limited to leg activity only. So spinning became my exercise life - an activity where you compete with
yourself and do what you can do! And now another Killington ride with 2 more personal bests..

And now the Body Shoppe has partnered with Rays of Hope for the exercise  component for staying healthy after cancer. HURRAY FOR THEM! And thank you all for giving me support and space to be.
Love you all.
Judy Haupt.
